Flames...Heaving...On The Sides Of My Face...

A skunk just sprayed in our cul-de-sac and I can't focus my eyes. Have you ever typed and hoped that you were typing the right words because you were in a trance? That's kind of what this is like.

Anyway, can I tell you how much I do not love going school supply shopping? Now while you're imagining my distaste, imagine that I dislike school CLOTHES shopping about 100x worse. First of all, I have basically 4 teenagers now. Jonah is as tall as Kenzie, Casey wears the same size shoe as the Jonah boy, Kenzie and Tiff are both picky and totally different body types, so when it comes down to it, nobody can will share clothes.

Next of all, fighting with all the people at the stores. Here in the new world, you'd think we'd have more than one Target/Wal-Mart for all of Redlands/Yucaipa, I mean, for hell's sake, St. Freakin George has a Super Wal and a Target! C'mon! Anyway, fighting my way through the papparazzi with a baby in a cart who grabs everything his grubby mitts can latch onto, along with 4 big kids saying "mom. mom. mom. mom. mom. mom. mom. mom." in unison...this is why I have several bald spots.

Then, when I finally reach the number 2 pencil stacks, or where they're SUPPOSED to be, it's always a crap shoot. Sometimes you find exactly what you need, but most often, I find myself face to face with ripped PeeChee folders and 3 ring notepads with Lisa Frank kittens wearing pink sparkly diamond tiaras on them. Not so much what the boys want.

Every year I tell myself I'm going to shop early, but every year, I'm even whiter, and even trashier, and this year especially...dollas are tight so...our kids are writing with sharpened charcoal. It will humble them, we figure...right?

And now, ponder this while you gaze at some recent photogs of our peeps:

Gorgeous pics! I loathe school shopping. I thought I'd be happy that Steve started college until we got his books to the register and it was $350!! And one of the 4 books was just like a pamphlet! ugh... Anyway, I guess it just never ends. Love you :)

I love the pics! They are all getting so freakin' old!

I'm just glad that I don't have to do that crazy of school shopping! But still, mine gets a little insane. And being in college doesn't help with the price, especially being in Interior Design! Only 3 more years! And lets hope that it goes by fast!

Your children are beautiful, and you take beautiful pictures. Perhaps I'll fly you out to take my next round of headshots and then, when I use those headshots to become famous, everyone will be like, "Who took your headshots?" And I'll be like, "Alli" and they'll be like, "We need her as a guest photographer on America's Next Top Model, plzkthnx" and before you know it, you'll have so much money that your kids don't have to use sharpened charcoal anymore.

K, I don't know how the F I am going to change my blog. I don't get codes and I don't want to have to do it over the phone, so I will just have to wait until I see Liza or something. But I really want to learn how. What ev.

Laurie - HOLY! I am dreading paying for college paraphernalia. Yikes. Love you too btw.

Lyd - doooooooooood...the magic of the internet makes it so we can do your blog long distance. You should call me when you've got an hour, and we can do yours up on the phone...or I can call you...either way. Get yourself a slurpee one night and lets just do it k?

Stacey - I'M GLAD SOMEONE GETS A LAUGH OUT OF MY PAIN!!! I'm kidding, I think it was pretty funny too...all those crazy shoppers! And thanks about the kids...I kinda like them too.

Em- it's so on. Seriously, people will be all "OMG who was it that captured your essence so perfectly?!?" and you will be all "um, Alli my sister once removed by God did that's who!" and they will pay me dollars, many...many dollars.

I will warn you that I am a little retarded when it comes to codes and talking on the phone at the same time, but I end up getting it. We'll figure it out!

haha no worries, as long as you have backgrounds picked out or kind of a sense of what you want there, it shouldn't be that big of a deal. Are you living at your mom and dads now?

I have pretty much everything that I want picked out. But I just want to look for a couple more things. As long as I learn how to do it, then I can change it if I need to. And yup! I'm livin with at my parents. I'll be here for another 2 and a half weeks before I go back up to school.

Dude it looks like Ash can do it too, and so can Eliza, have a party! If not, let's do it when you have time.
