Some Thoughts On Some Horrible Things That Happened Today

I have a lot of things on my mind right now. Mike and I are deep in thought and I came across this quote that I love:

"Indeed, nothing is more critically connected to happiness—both our own and that of our children—than how well we love and support one another within the family."- M. Russell Ballard - Oct. Gen. Conf 2005

Our children are the most precious thing in the world to us, and they are everything we work for. Know this...we will defend them in righteousness, we will do everything we can to protect them from toxic and painful arrows, and we will support them until we are too old and weak to do so.

In addition, our siblings and cousins and parents really make up the rest of what we love about this world. We love you all, your support means everything to us!

p.s.s. I just now read what you wrote and I totally love it! I can't wait to have a family of my own. How nice for Mike to go into 4 wonderful kids and now has another sass to the collection! Awesome!

I love you all!

Oh you are such of a thief! I'll ask Liza about it. Also, the cool thing about Mike (well...one of the millions) is that he comes in the door from work every day and hangs out with and plays with all the kids equally. He's a cool guy. Also, the newest sass to the collection is a sassmouth lately. You need to come see!

Love you sista!

I love the quote from our newest family relative. Can we too call him Grandpa?

Alli Easley said...

Lyd, yes wait til you find Mr. Right and make sure you know him for a long time first just like your parents and mine. That's the best advice I got for ya.

Eliza, oh yes. I'll give him a "What's up G'pa B?!" shoutout at conference.

Eliza said...

family relative....is that too redundant? I should have said family member. I was gonna say that if I was at the conference center I'd bark when they'd say his name but that is so not appropriate...sorry I even thought that and then typed it too.

Alli Easley said...

maybe if we yelled "oooow!" when he walked up to speak, that might be more appropriate? Maybe not...

Ooo, and I just discovered that you can say "MRB" in reference to him which opens up a whole other avenue of possibilities for shout-out.

"Here comes the M.R.B....galaxy defendah"

(Let me see ya just bounce it with me
Just bounce with me
Just bounce it with me
Come on let me see ya just slide with me
Just slide with me
Just slide with me
Come on let me see ya take a walk with me
Just walk with me
Take a walk with me
Come on and make your neck work
Now freeze)

Oh don't you worry. I'm not gunna have one of those typical BYU marriages...you know; know each other for four months and then get married!! I don't think so! And he will have to meet both sides of the family so I can see if they approve, and to see if he can survive! ha

GOOD GIRL! Seriously, that's such a red flag. Joe moved into my parents house after 5 days of knowing me...FIVE DAYS... On our first date, he told my parents he was going to marry me. I admit, I was just as dumb, especially when I found out later that he had been engaged twice before me and when I met him, he was only 21 when we got married. Scary. Ask my mom to tell you the story...she tells it better.

Take your time.

OH and I'll post boy pics latah!

I said the same thing Lyd and then I met Curtis in December, engaged in April and married in August. I say you know when you know, so watch what you say lady.

Alli Easley said...

True, but Liza had 5 months before engagement...that's not that bad.

and sometimes you know each other 4 yrs before you get engaged and find out what a dum-dum the other person is...

Eliza said...

If you actually do the math from first date to engagement it is 102 days so that is a little over 3 months.
