First Day In 5 Years As A Stay At Home Mom W/Baby

Today the kids started school! After a little bit of drama last night, we got them all settled down and took them shopping for a few more school supplies and some new shoes for Casey and Jonah, and we came home to go to bed. Do any of you remember those jitters you'd get before school started? Imagine 4 kids and one 13 month old laying in your bed moving around, so excited for the next morning you'd think it was Christmas Eve. I hate to admit it, and I'd love to say "Oh yes, we got them to bed nice and early around 7:30 and they all slept for 12 hours before the big day" but we didn't. Want to know what time Kenzie finally came into our bedroom for the last time to tell us "just one more thing..."? 2:14. AM. In the morning. As in...a couple of hours after midnight. She was so nervous/excited/stoked apparently.

So this morning, Mike's alarm for work goes off at 6 and my first thoughts were "Oh no, they'll never wake up" but as soon as we could open our eyes, they were all up and getting ready by themselves!!! Yes folks, you heard that right. By themselves. Clothes on, clean socks on, hair done...the works. Oh and while we're on the topic of hair, let me tell you, Jonah and Casey both are addicted to the flat iron, but I'll leave that story for another time...a time when I can show you pictures. (by the way, I cannot wait til these kids are 16...the things I will show their dates, just you wait)

So it's Harper and I. I called Liza and talked her ear off for 2.5 hours this morning while I got my kitchen done and some laundry put away, and then Harper and I watched Yo Gabba Gabba ...um...what the hay-oh is that show? So yeah, he's napping, I'm bored and all the laundry/house cleaning is done. I suppose I should start on my Christmas crafts but I'm kind of enjoying the feeling of being a stay at home mom again. Oh how I've missed it.

We really are Mandy! Now, let's find the best park in Temecula and make a play date. I'll make the lunch if you bring cookies from any of your many delicious recipes in the cookbook/scrapbook that I covet that sits in your kitchen.

I'm pretty sure it wasn't only you doing the ear talking off. I got my house clean too. Good thing cause I forgot the VT were coming over AND they came 45 min earlier than they were scheduled. Hip Hih Pooh ray (as I like to say it since I try to add Disney in wherever I can) for school!

Tiff - I know, can you not wait til Paige can get herself pretty? It's a good day when that happens.

E - I miss talking like that on the phonage (said like Vonage, since we both got the Vonage) also, now I'm singing the Hip Hih POOH ray song, thnx.

That sounds like fun! I get to be like your kids in two weeks! I'm just hoping that it will go by fast! I'm excited and all, but not so much for the homework and projects! Eeeeyy! I must see some of those pics of your boys!
