Little Luncheon

Today we had a little luncheon to say goodbye to our good friend Aimee W.

Her husband is a doctor, and he just got a great job in Sacramento so...they're off to forget about the little people here in Yucaipa while they lounge around in their big new house while their servants dote on their every whim...

and yes I'm jealous...I want some servants!

Anyway, we had a really nice time with just a few of the girls. It was at Amber's house, and I made chicken salad with grapes, and coleslaw, and we had pie and ice cream and fruit and good conversation. I also convinced Amber to buy some grenadine and we had the cutest little shirley temples! Also, Amber made little beaded friendship bracelets, and we used them as napkin rings, and we tied a little saying onto them with ribbon...just because...

The picture above is K, proving to me that she went on a date with Kevin Costner(click!) since she's so so hot now....And yes, I'm jealous....

All in all, it was a really nice time, and I think we should do it again every week...just because we want to! I'm so greatful for good friends!

(as usual, click any picture to see it larger)

How fun. I want a friendship bracelet! I am friends with 3 of you there (if Aimee will take me).

Ali, Where did you get those red plates? I love them!!!! I guess I missed something, why are you moving and where are you going?
Bob said he saw your dad at the temple today!

Thanks guys, I really do have great friends! About the plates, they're AMBERS! She's the cutest little thing, I swear...well, all of them were. And Eliza, I'll make you some of that salad when we move there cuz we'll be having friend parties all the day. Oh and Mandy, yes, but my slaves murmur, and that makes them not count.

Oh and Lisa Mc! Those plates were my friend Amber's. I can't remember where she got them but I think she made a post about them on her blog. Look on my sidebar and find Mike and Amber Horspool. Oh and yes, my dad works at the temple on Wednesdays, he loves it!

Oh and we're moving to Utah, Mike has a job in downtown SLC, and we're living in Orem. Crazy!

Oh and Aimee, eulogys don't usually include stories of mansions and servants. You're confused, now if I'd have said "She is leaving me all of her modbe stuff" THEN! you'd have had a eulogy!

Eliza said...

yay Aimee! More friends!

I should just make me some of the chick salad but I find buying the costco stuff (I know it has no grapes) just so much easier. AND I also know that it is made out of the day old rotisserie chicken and I still don't care cause it is goooooood!

Allison Easley said...

I like mine better than the Costco kind. Way different...although the Costco kind is good.

Home made is way better. I like me some Beaumond in mine. Mmmm.

K, so that party looked so fun! What a set up! LOVE IT!
Can I be invited to your Utah parties?

your bizarre fact of the say just totally depressed me. 3500 calories to burn 1 pound of fat!!! i know i have heard that before but not after i just downed 2 fat chocolate chip cookies for lunch. at least i balanced it out with a couple carots and snap peas right? :)

I am so salivating right now!!! I loooove salad ever so much! I would eat it every day if possible!

Eliza said...

I'm not stupid, of course homemade is way better......

I'm sure we have the same recipe but I'm never in the mood to cook up the chicken cause canned ain't right ya'll.

Allison Easley said...

homemade slurpees are NOT way better than 7-11 kind. Some things are better left to the stores and restaurants!

Also, anyone is welcome to come to my parties when I move! Amber's house however, will not be there! Nor her cute dishes! :(

Eliza said...

yes...we've tried the homemade slurpees and my kids think they are fabulous but me nosso much. ( I stole that word/spelling from Sarah, whut whut!)

But my house has Jack Skellington plates so it will be fun right?

-KJ said...

OH. I NEVER cook up my chicken...I serve it raw. Just kidding, I buy the rotisseries from the store!!! I swear it makes it 10 times better too. It is so flavorful, and I love me some dark meat in there too. It makes for a super quick and extra tasty salad. Mmmmmm.

I am jealous of your Jack Skellington plates! Him so cute!

Eliza said...

Sick!! Raw chicken makes me dry heave.

oooohhh good idea KJ! I'll have to do that next time. Do you buy the grocery store or the Costco?

Amber Horspool said...

got the plates from my MOL for my b-day. she got them from pottery barn:) I LOVE them too!

Eliza said...

I can already see this coming... I know you don't buy the grocery store or the Costco...

Allison Easley said...

Amber, you should sell them to me! Oh and I have the Jack Skellington plates too, but I only bought 8 of them. :(

Eliza said...

that's all I have but I also bought the jack face platter azwuhl.

How stinking cute. I love the place settings. I can't wait until I can throw parties like that.

You are so good at pictures. I am so excited for you to do ours.

Allison Easley said...

Ooo Liza, now that we'll be there, we can combine and have a big fat 16 person party with our Jack accessories! I already have ideas for napkin holders.

Oh and Candace, I think we should throw parties at Stacey's house in The Vernal...especially so I can eat that Mason babies face off!
