Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand I Got Tired Of The Damask

Being sick does funny things to your sense of time and space. Over the last 7-8 days, I've been absolutely at what my sweet little dramatic Tiffany would call "DYING-OH-MY-GOSH-HOLY-CRAP-THIS-IS-DEATH!!!!"

As I mentioned in previous posts, I was feeling horrible, and from what I'm hearing from friends and family around the globe, this is the worst flu to hit Earth. Ever. I have/had it, Harper had it, Mackenzie, Casey, and now Mike and Tiffany are feeling it. Jonah...well he's been at Science Camp in Big Bear/Lake Arrowhead for the last 3 days, and he probably feels this way too, but who'd wanna leave Science Camp to come home and lay in bed? Me neither.

Anyway, so I realized this morning that I've been sick now for a whole week. That has never happened ever. People...start melting down some vitamin C on a spoon in your filthy bathroom, soak up the juice with a syringe and start shooting up immediately. If you get this, and let's all pray you don't...you will die. I promise.

Ok so the whole Terrible Tuesday is over. I don't want to even talk about it anymore. I need to tell you that Clinton is seriously the devil. Also, Obama isn't as bad as she is but still...ugh. OK I'm done.

So anyway, Casey's going to be 9 on Friday, and that freaks me out as well. When did he get so big you guys? Seriously? That makes me so old. If I didn't have Harper, I'd feel like a granny, and let's face it...I'm almost 58. I guess it all makes sense. Where's my damn shawl???

Oh and guess what. This is the cutest picture of Casey. We were laying in my room a while ago and he was looking at me from under my covers. He's precious. That is all.

I agree...Clinton IS the devil, a nasty ol'lying she-devil.

Oh, glad you are feeling better. Same story at our house. I am going to have to call in a haz-mat team to clean up all the germs around here, seriously.

Pssshaaaaw - 58? Whatevah, that makes me like older than that.... Well, at least I still feel young.

I too checked over the ST results, and felt a little tiny bit of a smile that at least the "O" won more states than the De-VIL. Whew (I just realized however that I didn't see how many delegates were won, since that's what matters.....I still have the paper and I'll look and then probably wipe that tiny smile away.)

Hope you feel better soon!

And Amanda "Nelson" and I have come to the conclusion that we are gunna move out of the country. Or just get prepared because the second coming is coming sooner if any of these hosers become president, which very likly. Boo Hiss. How does Australia or Italy sound?! New Zealand? Samoa?

I think I'll just write in Romney... hey lets spread the word for everyone in country to do that and have the biggest upset in the entire Earth! Okay maybe not.... so sad he dropped out. McCain should pick him as his vp now wouldn't THAT be interesting.

Interesting...but highly unlikely. I'm kind of with Mom on this...don't shoot me. I'd much rather have Obama than McCain. I dunno, maybe not. I hate this election. It makes me crazy.

Also, Carla! So sorry your family is sick too. Isn't this bug crazy? I've never seen anything like this.

And Dani, you look good for 60 girlfriend! Snap in a Z formation!

Well don't be too speedy with obama..I was thinking the same thing but I'm pretty sure McCain would choose more concervative Justices then Obama so don't forget that issue either.

I'm totally unhappy with all of our options at this point.

Huckabee won several southern states, so i wouldn't be surprised if McCain takes Huckabee for a VP to try to bring in those states in Nov.

Clinton is running out of money. Obama will take it.

My son ripped up my ballot, now I dont get to vote.

I am having a hard time convincing myself to vote this year. Don't judge me if I don't. Is there a lesser of two evils? I don't think so. I am sick about all of it. I think the second coming is swiftly approaching, and we just need to come to realize that.
P.S. I am glad I don't live in your house right now. I hope all you sickies get better fast!

This is what happened with Bush/Kerry and Bush/Gore (besides the fact that the latter scares me just looking at him)... I had to go on moral and ethical values and character. I love the lesson from the SS manual from Heber J. Grant on Being a Loyal Citizen. I love how he says politics are like the measles. Look at the last 3 who are left and make a check list of the one that protects what is most important to you. Pretty obvious even if I don't want it.

McCain v. Hillary = McCain. Easy vote because she sucks so hard. She wants to garnish the wages of those who don't want Universal Health care? Why are conservatives seen as "Big Brother" from 1984 when it is liberals who want to control everything?

McCain v. Obama = I felt the same way with regards to Obama and McCain. However, just wait until Obama is forced to tell the Nation his beliefs and mind set instead of giving speaches like this, "I am going to Unite stuff!!! Hillary can't unite, nor can McCain. But I know how to Unite people." Believe it or not he is more liberal on all beliefs then the likes of Ted Kennedy and Senator KKK Byrd. Just take a breath and wait for the debates this fall. You will see how left of the pulpit Obama is.

Caveat: McCain/Huckabee v. Obama = I sleep

Caveat: McCain/Huckabee v. Obama/Hillary = Chile here I come.

You know, I've been talking to Eliza today on the phone, and we've been discussing the above caveats. You know, I think that if by chance it went McCain/Romney, McCain would win. There are a lot of us who are saying that Obama looks better than a McCain/Huckabee ticket, but if McCain were smart, he'd go with Romney. And they'd win. I'm so afraid of Clinton. I'm already looking at what it takes to get a permanent Visa for Sweden if things don't pan out for us.

I'm starting to dispise the Jesse Jacksonesque style of Obama as of late. I'm not in this to hear a preacher every time we have to hear from the president. This whole thing is interesting. We'll see. McCain, when it all boils down to the issues, and what I believe in...he's a better choice than Obama.

What a mess.

Taylor said...

There is no way McCain is as bad as Obama. Just wait until the political machines start rolling, Obama will have to answer questions about what he will DO in office. It is not that big of a mess. I say if either Hillary or Obama is nominated then McCain should pick Condi Rice as a running mate. He would never do that because Rice is a Rumsfeild woman and McCain and Rummy despise eachother. But that would draw some of the black and/or women independent vorters away from the Dems. Pipe Dream. There has to be a young right wing conservative in the South to pick from. I haven't paid much attention to politics for the past 2 years, bue he/she must exist. Newt Gingrich would also be a wise choice, or Jeb Bush if he changes his last name. The Dems would have a hayday with "Not Another Bush".

I agree with Taylor. I will wait and see what "O" proves in the next 9 months. McCain can't pick Rommney...He needs the Huckabee (righteous) vote HA HA...I just feel sorry for dad because he was selected as a delegate in a state that supported Romney. Now he has to go and vote for McCain when he doesn't want to...VERY SAD!!!!

Just a side note: A guy in our ward is with the Secret Service and he has been on Obama's support team since September. He said and I quote: "He is one of the finest men I have ever met, but I wouldn't vote for him"...

Is what I have called the flu...I thought is was called "DEATH WARMED OVER!!!" Every morning I think I'm going feel better..I have to...and then I'm shocked to find some new stinkin symptom! Today the fever...chills...and all that GREAT stuff has hit! I just hope it passes over the rest of my family because I don't want to take care of anyone else right now! I just want to stay in bed where my body doesn't have to move and where my head won't explode...and if it does, nobody will see that there isn't much coming out! (that's the bitter, sick me coming through!)

So...are you finally feeling better? Functional at least?

That is interesting Shauna.
Good points all. I know I should vote. I do. It all just sickens me. There is no way McCain will ever pick Romney. Hukabee sold his soul for McCain, and I am sure he will be his running mate. This is all even more interesting after that slide show that Leslie Hadley sent out. So true.
I am just still so sad over Romney. I think over the next 9 months we will see everyones true colors, and we will all see what we already knew. McCain is NOT in anyway conservative.
P.S. I will NEVER vote democrat. They support abortion and same sex marriage. I cannot and will not vote that way in good conscience. You guys have 9 months to convince me to vote.

Lyd said...

Dang it!! All this sucks! I was so excited to vote for the first time, but not so much anymore. I should just save my first vote for a good candidate instead of all these hosers.

Lyd said...

It's so true that Huckabee "sold his soul" to McCain. This is just all washed up crap. :)

Alli Easley said...

Good points to all of you guys. This election is really causing us to really study, watch and learn. We'll see, I'm a little discouraged today, but we'll see what happens.

Kristen, oh my gosh. I do feel better than I did last weekend, but it's still hitting me hard. From what I hear, this is a 2 week+ bug. Call me if you need something!

shauna said...

Don't feel bad, Lydia. My first vote was for NIXON!!!!

Oh, and KJ...you know that McCain voted for both of those issues that are keeping you from voting democrat? But I agree with you on the Supreme Court (I hope)!

Eliza said...

McCain is for civil unions and he voted against the constitutional amendment cause he wants to leave it up to the states, but he is anti-abortion except in cases with incest, rape, and the endangerment of the mother and has voted that way.

Eliza said...

oh and don't forget that the Dems want to pull out of Iraq and McCain knows and will stay their till we finish...I know, I'm trying to convince myself but we gotta find something. All I know is an Obama/Clinton or Clinton/Obama ticket seriously scares the hey-ol out of me so don't stay home and not vote.

-KJ said...

I know. I know. McCain's ONE redeeming point is that he won't pull out of Iraq.
Liza, I am glad that you are doing your homework, but you don't sound sad enough that Romney is out! (I know you are :)) McCain still hasn't even showed his true colors yet. SCARY. Neither has Obama. Scarier. Obama/Clinton or Clinton/Obama scares the poopies out of me too.

Eliza said...

I am sad believe me, I've been literally sick to my stomach... but there is nothing I can do about it but hope and pray that he does what he said he is going to do and sits down with Romney to unite the party... they were only different by 700,000 votes (mc-4,700,000 to Romney's 4,000,000) Huckabee may be his pick but why would you pick the person that is 3rd in line (and that is by the people). To me he is the smartest pick for VP of who was running. I think it's interesting that he pulled out so soon giving time for them to come together and not look like hypocrites. Just wishful thinking on my part.

Lyd said...

I agree with Romney that McCain is the better choice because he won't pull us out of the war and we need to stay there. Obama/Clinton will pull us right out and that shouldn't be done. "I simply cannot let my campaign be a part of aiding surrender to terror." (Romney speaking about him dropping so O/C won't win.) I just hope that McCain figures out the whole economics crap. Because that, I think, is a may-hor part of this counrty!! I just hope that he doesn't screw things up. Dang it.
